Our solution

To bring the vision to life, we built Accountable, a mobile and web app supported by a custom Bluetooth beacon. The beacon authenticates vehicle presence so tracking only occurs in the driver’s own car. By combining GPS, beacon proximity, and OS-level phone usage detection, the system delivered reliable accuracy where other approaches fell short.

We designed clean, modern UIs that made complex safety data easy to understand at a glance. Parents gained clear oversight and peace of mind, while young drivers were motivated by intuitive dashboards, progress tracking, and gamified rewards.

We tested the system on the road in real vehicles to fine-tune tricky scenarios such as idling at traffic lights or GPS drift, ensuring accuracy before launch.
